Hopefully, this will clarify and answer your questions on how the new cards interact with the game mechanic.
1) Regalia Contracts
Q: When I contract by resting a Contract regalia, will the J-ruler enter the field rested?
A: No, a contracted J-ruler enters the field recovered even if the ruler and/or regalia were originally rested.
2) [Chaining] Mechanic
Q: If I already played a “Virtuous Crusade”, then chain it with a “Blazing Burst”, can I chain it again with a second “Virtuous Crusade” ?
A: Yes. [Chaining] basically checks the trait of the last spell that you played this turn and if it fulfills the trait stated in [Chaining], the card is chained. So it is possible to play “Virtuous Crusade”, “Blazing Burst”, “Virtuous Crusade”, “Blazing Burst”, “Virtuous Crusade” and “Blazing Burst” continuously to chain them.
Q: If I want to play a “Virtuous Crusade” that is chained, must I chase a Blazing Skill, Enchanting Skill, Wild Skill or Deathly Skill?
A: No. A condition of [Chaining] is met if this is the first spell you control after resolving a specific races card, so you do not necessarily have to chase it. And also, a [Chaining] does not consider spells your opponent controls.
***The Q&A reply for [Chaining] seems to be erroneous as the reminder text/Comprehensive Rules defined it slightly differently. We should be looking to update and confirm this too.
Point 1: First Spell Played (Reminder text/ C.R.) vs First Spell YOU Played (Q&A)
Point 2: [Chaining] checks for prior X Skill spell played (Reminder Text / C.R.) vs prior X Skill spell RESOLVED (Q&A)
3) Specific Cards

Q: Can I choose the first option to prevent damage to my J-ruler if I play “Hyde’s Help” from my graveyard with [Remnant]?
A: No. If you are playing with [Remnant], you are playing the card from the graveyard so you can only choose the second option. Likewise, you cannot choose the second option if you are playing the card from your hand.

Q: If I play “Flaming Thoughts”, and I discarded “Boy’s Staring at…”, will I produce a (Fire Will) since “Boy’s Staring at…” is a Blazing Skill in the graveyard?
A: No. “Boy’s Staring at…” is a Blazing Skill only in the graveyard. When you are discarding it from your hand, it is still not in the graveyard so it will not fulfill a “Flaming Thoughts” requirement of discarding a Blazing Skill.

Q: What counts as a spell that was played without paying its non-reduced printed cost or cost modified by its base ability? Will it affect spells played via [Mastery]?
A: Basically “Muse’s Staring at…” affects any spells that was played without paying its full printed cost, so this includes spells that was played “without paying its cost”, via [Mastery], any spells that had cost reduction or any alternative cost that is lower than its printed cost. So for example, in the case of “Remote Island Oni”, only if the full 7 cost is paid, then it will not be affected by “Muse’s Staring at…”.

![](https://convergingwills.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/tigre-plateado-star-tiger-fur.png?w=400)
Q: If “Tigre Plateado, Star Tiger Fur” has the magic stone type wind magic stone, does it count itself when counting for [Seal]?
A: It is counted as a Wind Magic Stone for the reduction, but not for [Seal]. For example, if you control “Tigre Plateado, Star Tiger Fur” and two basic wind magic stones, X will be 3 (Reduction from 2 basic wind magic stones + “Tigre Plateado, Star Tiger Fur”). But you would still not have achieved [Seal] (3) because you only have 2 magic stones.
*This means that cards like “Healing Ginkgo” & “Tigre Plateado, Star Tiger Fur” may have the magic stone type wind magic stone, but since they are not treated as Magic stones they will not count towards [Seal].
Q: Non-magic stone entity has the magic stone type wind magic stone can produce (Wind Wil) by resting it?
A: No, it doesn’t. Entities can produce will only if they have a will ability like “Produce (Wind Wil).”.

Q: Can I choose not to search for a resonator if my opponent plays a detrimental effect in chase to my card/ability?
A: No. As it is not an optional search, you will be forced to search. However, as the deck is a hidden zone, you can fail to search for a resonator.
*This means that you still have to search your deck for a resonator, but you can chose not to bring it out thus failing to search, so that if you face “Exorcist Mage at the Academy” or “Muse’s Staring”, you don’t have to remove from game a resonator from deck.

“Lifezapper, Star Statue“
Q: Does the reduction in [Seal] count resonators that are removed from the game or returned to the hand?
A: Yes, as long as the resonator was in the field and leaves it, it is counted.

“Stein, Deathly Star:
Q: For its [Enter] ability, does it count resonators that were put into my graveyard from my removed area or deck?
A: Yes, as long as the resonators were put into your graveyard this turn.

Q: Can I use “Tina, Virtuous Stella” and “Alice, the Ally of Fairies” with [Tag] ability?
A: Yes, you can use “Alice, the Ally of Fairies” with [Tag] (Virtuous Girl) as “Alice, Girl of the Lake”. It gains Virtuous Girl and “[Tag] (Virtuous Girl)”.
* “Alice, the Ally of Fairies” gains the name “Alice, Girl of the Lake” So you can use it with the new Extension rule “Legacy: The Virtuous of the World Tree”
